Kavinace Benefits For Anxiety Relief

Kavinace is a popular nootropic claiming to relieve anxiety and enhance cognitive function.

It’s a proprietary blend of the amino acid taurine and also the GABA derivative phenibut (4-amino-3-phenylbutyric acid).

Kavinace also contains a hefty dose of vitamin B6 (as pyridoxal phosphate), a ubiquitous B vitamin that can reduce depression and anxiety.

How Does Kavinace Work?

Kavinace’s ingredients work primarily by increasing activity of the inhibitory neurotransmitter GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid).

Inhibitory neurotransmitters, like GABA, work by reducing the activity of excitatory neurotransmitters (such as glutamate).

An easy way to think of neurotransmitters is as chemicals in your body that relay signals to cells (particularly neurons); just like you – an originating neuron – calling a friend – a target neuron – on the phone.

As such, excitatory neurotransmitters stimulate target neurons to ‘fire’ (trigger an action potential).

Basically, if glutamate is responsible for transmitting your message through the phone to your friend, chances are your friend will then continue relaying that information to more friends (neurons).

It’s like a chain reaction. Hopefully, you didn’t have anything too confidential to tell your friend!

Thus, when you have an excess activity of excitatory neurotransmitters versus inhibitory neurotransmitters, you tend to feel on edge and anxious.

Your brain is exhibiting high amounts of stimulation, making it hard to concentrate and relax.

Back to the phone call example, if GABA is responsible for transmitting the message to your friend, then that confidential information will be safe and sound without going any further.

Essentially, your friend would get the message and stop relaying it to more friends.

Synergy of Kavinace Ingredients

Phenibut

Phenibut is nearly identical in chemical structure to GABA, with one small (but significant) difference that allows it to readily pass into your brain.

GABA, crazily enough, doesn’t readily cross into your brain and is, therefore, less effective at increasing GABA activity than phenibut.

In fact, research suggests that phenibut is as effective as anti-anxiety drugs, like benzodiazepines. Shortly after taking phenibut, users experience slight tranquilizing effects and feel much more at peace.

Phenibut also decreases feelings of restlessness and muscle spasms. The main thing to be aware of with phenibut is that it is potent; hence, phenibut is best to use intermittently when you’re feeling especially anxious (rather than daily).

Taurine

You might be familiar with taurine if you are a fan of energy drinks (which seem to be all the buzz these days).

This amino acid is particularly crucial for regulating hydration and mineral balance in your body.

There’s also evidence that taurine is a natural antioxidant that protects your brain from free radical damage.

Furthermore, taurine appears to reduce breakdown of GABA in your brain. Thus, it works as a great adjunct to phenibut, essentially prolonging the GABA-boosting effects.

While taurine is found in small amounts in meat and fish, many people do not consume enough to notice nootropic benefits. Naturally, supplementing with Kavinace is a prudent option for getting enough taurine.

Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine)

Vitamin B6 is involved in the metabolism of macronutrients and upwards of at least 113 known essential reactions in the body.

Ultimately, Kavinace is a worthwhile supplement for individuals who are prone to anxiety (especially if that stems from low GABA activity).

The main drawback of Kavinace is that it contains a proprietary blend of taurine and phenibut.

As such, it’s impossible to tell how much of each ingredient there is per dose (only the combined total is given).

Remember not to use it every day as chronic phenibut use can lead to dependency and ultimately withdrawal side effects.
